ICE THERAPY

WHEN THE INFLAMMATION IS FEELING TENDER, HOT AND SWOLLEN:

Please wrap an microwaveable ice pack or ice pack in a towel (to protect your skin) and apply to affected area for 7-10 minutes (applying ice longer than this can be counterproductive to your recovery)Repeat this application 3-4 times or as directed by your practitioner. HEAT THERAPY

OFTEN AFTER THE INITIAL STAGE OF SWELLING:

Take a microwaveable heat pack or hot water bottle and wrap in a moist hand towel. Place this on the affected area for 20 minutes. Take caution not to burn the skin.

This application should only be applied 1-2 times a day or as directed by your practitioner.

Leaving heat on an area for longer than this time may aggravate your injury.
